Hearth Appliance Repair & Maintenance

Gas Appliance Repair & Maintenance

SERVICE & REPAIR

Gas burning hearth appliances have many components that are vital to the safe operation of the appliance.

High Mountain Hearth repairs and services all brands of gas hearth appliances.

While we stock the most common replacement parts on our service trucks and likely can get your appliance up and running on the initial visit, if the required component is not stocked, we are able to order most components and can return to complete the repair.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE

Gas stoves, fireplaces and gas logs should be cleaned and serviced on an annual basis.

A detailed cleaning and tune-up can help avoid costly repairs later and provides you the peace of mind that your hearth appliance is ready for that next chilly evening.

This service includes a 34 point checklist to keep your gas stove or fireplace running at peak performance, and a written report of the findings.

Pellet Appliance Repair & Maintenance

PELLET SERVICE & REPAIR

Pellet burning appliances have many components which, unfortunately, can become defective over time. High Mountain Hearth repairs and services all brands of pellet appliances.

While we are not able to keep all components for all makes and models of pellet appliances on our trucks, we do carry the most common replacement parts and likely can get your pellet appliance up and running on the initial visit.

If the required component is not stocked, we are able to order most components and can return to complete the repair.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE

Pellet stoves and inserts, while burning very efficiently, still produce ash and soot. This buildup can decrease efficiency over time, as well as become a fire hazard.

Pellet appliances manufacturers recommend that pellet stoves and inserts be cleaned and serviced on an annual basis. A detailed cleaning and tune-up can help avoid costly repairs later and provides you the peace of mind that your hearth appliance is ready for that next cold night.

This service includes a 34 point checklist to keep your pellet appliance running at peak performance and a written report of the findings.

Fireplace & Chimney Caps & Accessories

CAPS & SCREENS

A chimney cap can prevent rain and snow, as well as birds and rodents, from entering your chimney. A cap with a spark screen also prevents dangerous sparks from escaping the chimney.

Chimney caps are recommended on all chimneys. High Mountain Hearth can give you an estimate on providing and installing a chimney cap on your chimney.

Masonry Chimneys

CROWN REPAIR

Masonry chimneys are built with a masonry crown on the top. The purpose of a crown is to shed moisture off the top of the chimney and prevent the moisture from entering the structure of the chimney.

Should the moisture seep into the bricks or rocks, it can expand through the freeze / thaw cycle, causing structural damage to the chimney.

High Mountain Hearth offers chimney crown repair and replacement. Let us offer you a no cost estimate to inspect and repair your chimney crown.

Chimney Sweeps & INSPECTIONS

Annual Chimney Sweep & Inspection

Level I inspections provide a basic look at the chimney, from top to bottom. During a level I, we’ll look for any creosote buildup, flue blockages, or other issues that could be a problem. These inspections are typically recommended for homeowners who have kept up with annual chimney maintenance and are included as part of our chimney cleaning service. A written report of the findings is provided upon completion of our inspection.

NFPA Level II Chimney Inspection

Level II inspections are more in-depth, and include a video scan of the entire interior of the chimney flue, as well as a closer look at the chimney structure itself. We’ll check the chimney cap, the crown, the flashing, the masonry of the chimney, the flue liner, the damper, the appliance connection, the smoke chamber, and the firebox for cracks, leaks, damage, and other issues. These inspections are recommended before installing a new liner or new appliance, and when you’ve noticed a change in performance. A written report of the findings is included with this inspection.

Real Estate Inspection

When it comes to moving, the fewer “surprises” the better — that’s why you schedule a home inspection before purchasing a new home. But did you know that home inspectors don’t give the chimney an in-depth inspection?

Save yourself the headache and protect yourself against “surprise” issues and expenses with your fireplace and chimney by scheduling a real estate inspection with High Mountain Hearth before purchasing your next home. We’ll perform a full level II inspection and provide you with a written report for your records, including colored photos of any areas of concern.

A real estate inspection will bring you confidence and peace of mind with your purchase. And with our thorough and detailed reports, you’ll have everything you need to negotiate your home price (if damage is present), as well as everything you might need for insurance purposes.
